SEVERE
FAULTS:
Hound Ears: Pendulous ears that hang downward from
their junction at the skull with little to no lift. Seen in breeds such
as Setters and Retrievers, it is incorrect for the Australian Shepherd.
Hound ears hold in moisture and are prone to ear infections. They
severely detract from the character and breed type of the Australian
Shepherd.
Prick Ears: Stiff, upright ears offering
no
protection from debris and severely detracting from the Australian
Shepherd Breed type.
